Rear softbag k1200gt

Hello all,

I have just replaced my k1200LT with a 2002 K1200GT.

I have a question that may sound silly and obvious so forgive me.

My GT comes with the BMW softbag that attaches to a rear rack that locks onto the bikes own rear rack.

I know that the bag attaches to the rack by being tucked to the underside of the bag then held in place with velcro. There are 2 elasticated 'hooks' that come from the underside of the bag. I cannot work out where these go and don't feel happy using the bag with just the velcro holding it in place.

Does anyone else have the bag and know how to fit it correctly?

Re: Rear softbag k1200gt

These straps allow you to attach cross ways on the rear portion of seat where passenger would sit. You can actually use two soft bags this way for added space.
