K1100LT's - Any Evidence At All of Misfires/Spluttering?
My 1998 K1100LT, due to sub-standard petrol, is suffering from dreadful misfiring & spluttering I have now had a reply from Tesco, the company who sold me the sub-standard petrol.
I have asked them to foot the bill for the work involved in cleaning out my petrol system …… they have refused.
In essence, they have stated …….
“it seems that misfiring & spluttering is quite a common problem with the BMW K110LT, (sic), motorcycle”……
Now I have owned 3 K100’s, (I did 44,000 miles in 18 months on one), a K1200 and this current K1100LT and I have never had them miss a beat let alone misfire once. They all performed perfectly.
The question to you guys, (I know the answer), is ……
Is there any evidence at all that the K1100LT is prone to “misfiring & spluttering”.
They have also state that …….
“owners of the BMW K110LT, (sic), motorcycle prefer to use Super Unleaded petrol to get optimum performance”.
…… which is complete bollocks.
I am relying on the knowledge of this forum to substantiate my case.
