Just purchased a 2000 K1200RS

Anyone have one of these and what do you think.
I test rode it before agreingto purchase it and thought it was a blast.
riding throught the back rodes around Rochester NY with the owner of Country Rode BMW I barely got out of 2nd gear, around 60 - 7-0 MPH.
The 200 lbs lighter than the LT is definately noticable. The bike felt rock solid and the brakes are enogh to catapukt one over the handlebars if you pull to hard.
I'm hoping that I can use it for shorter trips and keep the LT for longer ones or for when my arms and shoulders are in need of a little R&R.

Any comments on experiences with this bike would be most welcome.

Re: Just purchased a 2000 K1200RS

My first new bike was a 2003 K12RS. I liked it and put 20K on it in less than two years. Didn't ride it much after I got the first LT though. Hope you enjoy it!!

I found that a Corbin seat made it much better for longer days.

Maybe my experience will be similar.
The LT is hard to beat for performance AND comfort.
