Need history of GT and RS

I'm thinking of getting an older KRS or GT to replace my LT. I want more power but still need some comfort. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

If you're replacing the LT I would think the newer GT would be a better choice. If that's not in the budget then look for a 2002 or newer RS or either year (03,04) of the GT's. These year bikes have the cruise control. They did make a very few 04 GT's without cruise so I wouldn't buy one of those.

The older GT and RS were basically the same bike except the GT had a heated seat and a slightly taller shield. People will tell you the GT bars were higher but the difference was negligible.

They are nice bikes. I put 20k on my 03 KRS.

Ted

Other than the cruise, is there any reason not to get an older RS? I'm looking at a 98 that's in my budget.

Not really. The 01's and older have a different front fairing but it's more an esthetic thing. I don't know what market is like in your area but you can buy an 02-03 out here CHEAP. I would get the newest one possible.
