Question 2005 K1200s.... opinions?

Thinking of buying a 2005 K1200s. Anyone know of any issues / concerns with that years model, things I should look out for / ask about etc. Have only had Japanese bikes up to know - so first foray into BMWs. All feedback very much appreciated. Cheers, Owen.

I have only test ridden one.

Great sport bike. Very comfy for such an agressive riding position.

I have also testdrove it, i loved the electonic damping system, just a push on a button. Great handling, powerful engine, and gearshift, we mounted øhlins shocs front and rear on one, it got even better. You should anyway testdrive a k1200, too get a little bit of feeling of one. For informasjon, i have not droven newer japanese bikes.

Go here and ask that question: http://www.k-bikes.com/forums/cmps_index.php

I had an 05 - transmission replaced, clutch replaced, clutch basket as well. Bike ran OK after all that but I traded it. Now have a K1200R, an 07, and it works better than my S. Non servo brakes have a better feel to me but they work very well. ESA is a fine option.

Be sure to demo ride the thing. You will find it shifts hard in the 1st 3 gears and smooter in the rest. Do not pull the clutch lever all the way in to shift - just tap it a little.

Have fun.
