How is 2004 K1200GT for 2-Up?

I currently ride a '99 R1100RT and am considering buying a 2004 K1200GT and wondering how it is for 2-Up riding. For long-distance or multi-day trips, I usually ride alone, but my girl and I like to do day trips around Utah, 150- to 300-mile rides. The rear seat on the K1200GT seems like it would be less comfortable than the RT seat. And wondering how it is for passenger without the trunk or backrest. Any experience you could share would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: How is 2004 K1200GT for 2-Up?

Hi Doug (I presume?)

If you are talking a "brick 2004GT" like in my sig line, then I'd think twice about it....
My wife loves the LT pillion seat, hates the GT seat.... and won't get on the bike after one ride of less than 100km. She will travel long distances on the LT for many hours though.

I use my GT mainly for city commuting, but took it for an "emergency" trip of about 100km each way last week..... and even I was starting to hate it. If I could filter through traffic on the LT, the GT would be gone I think.
