Has anybody got an idea for a fix..?
..And yes I have had a look around..
Last week went on a wee ride to the Dingli cliffs and had to brake, Iron Pig stops as requested, I set off again and she dips into the fork, front calipers not releasing, totally stuck, not budging, ain't having it, no go… So I release the pressure and pry the pads apart and ride home gingerly, veryyyy gingerly.
At home I get the tools out and start to play.
Same thing, pistons come out but do not retract, seems to be on both sides, I split the calipers and cleaned the gunk out put them back together, pressure the system aaaaand? Same thing again.
Normally I am a bit nervous with brakes and would ring my friendly dealer and have it done, but no longer can do with my lousy wage, so I need to do it myself.
By the way Iron pig is a '94 model 1100 LT with brembo brakes.
