Re: Hddc 02/15/2012

I'll throw a few suggestions out there, just to get us started. I'm assuming we don't want to be as adventurous this week? We haven't been to Fransinetties winery or Guisties for while, or Fosters big Horn, or ???

Re: Hddc 02/15/2012

I'd lean toward Fransenetti's because I like it and it's on the way home from work for me.

Braster and Flowers might like the Big Horn 'cause it's close for them (kinda) I know John hates to retrace his commute up the river.

I'd go for Al the Wop's over Guisti's, but I'm partial to ATW.

Come on guys get a vote in!!

Fosters Big Horn has been remodeled according to radio spots I heard yesterday.
Dead wall art apparentley still intact.

Not a vote, just say'in.

There's also Peter's Steak House in Isleton. I think the group has been there once, it wasn't bad the last time I was there. The old cook from the Del Rio is the Owner.

Prime Rib was great as always - Same cook from the old Del Rio.......

Besides the owners wife/waitress started in on Hal right away and gave him a hard time all night.

My filet was excellent! Not as good a value as the Distillery steak sand. but damn good... and I did get to hear Hal get raked over the coals....

BTW everyone should be wishing Dougie so long and good luck.. we may never see him again after the Sandinistas get done with him..

The waitress was OK, just having fun! Food was GREAT!!!

Here's Doug's Yamaha this afternoon, about 75% packed for tomorrow's departure.

The pump handle on the back is for his on-road refueling system...

He laughed and said he could do most of the proposed route on the LT. It's just the dirt stretches where he'll be glad he's on the DR.
