Bald hills rd

Anybody out there in N. Ca. that can tell me if Bald Hills Rd., between Weitchpec and Oric, is paved, and/or worth riding?
Just wanted to take a couple'a days and wander around down that way. Likely starting at Yreka, headed down 3, then ???

Re: Bald hills rd

East to West - It starts off paved but turns to hard pack gravel. Going up the steep grade it mostly paved with patches of gravel. Then the last 18 miles in the park it is paved. Great road and lots of old growth Redwoods. Experienced riders should be able to handle it on almost any motorcycle when dry. But as always when wet or tore up you'll want a dual sport.

Re: Bald hills rd

Thanks John. Was hoping for paved. Don't think it'll work with me on the LT and my son on my FZ1.
Been scootin' around on GoogleEarth looking for fun back roads, and that one looked good - from space anyway.
Thanks again,
