Thumbs up Re: Happy Dependance day

HAPPY 4th !!!

Got home last night so I can celebrate and watch the fireworks.

Enjoy and reflect on what makes this country way better than it is bad. Nothing is perfect, that is natures way of allowing the strongest to continue, hope that's us.

Here's something left over from Veterns Day.

Freedom isn't free! God Bless the USA!

The Soldiers pictured below accompanied me on 243 combat patrols throughout Bagdad and helped others enjoy a new found freedom we have here at home! Photo taken at the "Crossed Sabers" in the center of Baghdad.

I took a drive around today and was amazed at how few US flags were displayed outside of people's homes compared to how many I saw as I grew up.....I think about the cost of our freedom paid for with the blood of warriors over 234 years and patriotism displayed in the weeks and few short months following 9/11 and wonder if our celebration is going askew.

Colonel , let me be the first to thank you for your service to our country. The next piece of pie is on me.

NO Sir I believe the american People are so insulated By geography and by culture that they have no idea what is going on in the world . as long as they are not affected they continue about their lives . Ignorant that in places They would not go, Men and Women stand up every day to defend them . They never know because they have never met and if perchance they do later they still will never know.

Reflecting on this day remember that only 3% of the people in America were involved in That revolution . IT takes only a few devoted people to forge a change -

WE know I know and Thank you all .

Re: Happy Dependance day

I am both honored and humbled to serve such a great nation!

On behalf of our warriors, thank you! Allow me to also acknowledge EVERY servicemember feels the unwaivering support of our fellow countrymen and women....we see it in the airports, on the media, and in the gratitude on their faces when they acknowledge us in uniform!

Steve....I'm all smiles brother!
