OK went back and found page 2 with your post, ouch! Good to hear your feeling a little better now. As chuck said welcome to the broken rib club, where breathing hurts and laughing hurts even more.

I have taken that similar trip, the seafood is great, cocos corner is off of this planet, the roads are rough, and the scenery is great. the adventure is even better.
I sprained an ankle on my trip.
Heal well and get back on that horse.
