Both the following are Italian in East Sac. The first is the best IMHO, but both are good And HDDC has been to the second, I think.

Mama Susanna's
5487 Carlson Drive
(near 57th and H)

Espanol
5723 Folsom Blvd

Someone pick and start it!

PLEASE, somewhere other than Sacramento. How about Waterloo Inn, Shrangra La in Lodi, or a new Italian place in Lockford, Joe's of Italy. Or we could try that restaurant in Ione, the old Cravings, it's now a steak house. (Or not, thinking of Chuck's raw chicken dinner.)

You pick it Hal. Ione sounds good or Joe's in Lockford. Rather those two than Lodi...

OK I'm not Hal But given a choice I'd pick Lockford over the Indian run "Steak House"

AS a side note isn't it odd that Indians would be serving ex-cows! HMMMM?

" Ah yes these small steaks come from a rare Barking Cow you see" "would you like Curry with your T bone"

If you eat there don't be supprised if you have an urge to Fetch something.

The "Steak House" in Ione, the old Cravings, is now owned by a Eastern Indian fellow.

I'm not sure why I'm giving you two hobos the satisfaction of a response, but there was no number six in the list so rather than spend an inordiordinate amount of my worthless time fixing it, I just inserted #6.

I thought this joint was very good. i.e food, service, ambiance.

Hopefully Ted's marginal meat balls were an anomily to the normal quality.

Re: Hddc 02/17/10 - Joe's of Italy, Lockeford

Sorry to hear that two things were marginal. My pasta had chicken breast chunks in it that were fine. Doesn't make sense that they can ge some of stuff so right and other stuff lousy. I guess that is what separates the guys that have been in business thirty years from the duds that go broke after one year.
