Thanks Jess and Scott for letting us invade your new home.
Looks very nice and should serve you well.

Thanks for the use of garage space, tools and moral support needed to repair my LT shift linkage which failed as I tried to leave. With yours and Mike's help we had it fixed in under an hour and no problems on the way home.

Re: Hddc 9/16

I echo kudos to Scott and Jessica for the fine hospitality and Lisa for the killer brownies.

I already called Doug and railed him about BMW "superior engineering". Glad he did not fall apart in the dark on Excelsior.

Speaking of BMW's, a little white 4-wheel rocketship followed me from Sac Raceway all the way to Grantline and 99. Very curteous and kept a nice long following distance all the way. When we got caught at the light at Stockton Blvd. he pulled up on my right. It had a tall spoiler and a very young driver. There was little doubt in my mind that he would nail it when the green came. I punched it a little in first gear and true to form he dropped the hammer. He then passed a car on the left and crossed three lanes to hit the right turn on ramp for southbound 99. An EGPD black and white appeared out of nowhere and passed me on the fly. The B/W was moving as he went arond the on ramp. When I got the the freeway and jumped into the #1 lane and got on the east side of an 18-wheeler. Just north of Eischinger Rd was the rocketship and flashing blue lights. Another chrisis averted....

The part that failed was an after market design and manufacture... I guess it's still BMW's fault eh?

Re: Hddc 9/16

Sorry I missed the gathering. work had me in soCal for 2.5 days.

Somewhere I have a picture of scotty fixing the shifter on his LT as 10 plus guys surronded his bike so that other passing bikes would not point and laugh that it was a BMW.

Let me see if I can find it.

I remember that, we had to circle the BMW's so the HD guys didn't see us doing a road side repair. That was back in spring of 2003 on 121 near Berryessa...
