David,

Thanks once again for setting this up. I'll probably come up the night before to join the ride to Tony's. What was the name of the hotel you recommended last year?

Dinner on Friday?

I believe it was either the Hilton Garden Inn or the Courtyard by Marriott. Both are on Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino across the parking lot from The Duke of Edinburgh, which seems to have become a tradition as well.

Great.

I'll probably leave LA early again to miss traffic and go up the coast. As we get closer, let me know what your plans are.

Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

Made it back safe and sound around 1:10 PM. The first 28 miles from Ft. Bargg on Hwy 20 were slow and deliberate.

The rest of the way, Jim and I cruised easy. Although I did play in the sweepers on Hwy 16 between Hwy 20 and Cahe Creek.

Thanks David for setting this up. Although we had fewer attendees this year, the give and take was good as always.

Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

Thanks, David. Good times.

Left the motel at 5 AM and was home by 3. Like Raffy I took it easy on 20. Dark, foggy and wet with the occasional horned rat.

It was light by the time I hit 5 but it was socked in with fog for about 30 miles, also. Other than that it was an easy ride.

Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

A great ride David. I woke up Sunday, with my head wishing that they had run out of beer...

Thanks for organizing this, and the Cambria ride. On the way home, we went the Stewart Point Road -one of the best in CA, IMO (thanks for showing me the way Ed (webcrum))!

Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

I had a great time in FB and the dinner was very good. Raffy and I got a bit wet on the highest elevation on 20 just before dropping down into Willits. Not really raining but the mist/fog was enough to make a mess.

Thanks Dave and all.....

I'm glad everyone had a good time. And yes, I almost agree about the beer. Thanks to you all for coming, it would be far less fun without you!!

Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

Made the 700 mile trek home home safely @10:30PM last night. Total trip 2800 miles - long way to go just to have dinner with some great folks - that some might consider them strange, to day the least. Thanks Dave for giving me the excuse to ride.

Thumbs up Re: Fort Bragg Ride - October 17-18

Glad everyone made it home safely!
We took 2 leisurely days to go home. We took hwy-128 (thank you John for the great suggestion) and rode through Napa, avoided San-Francisco and stayed the night in Monterey. The coast is just too beautiful to pass up... so we rode all the way to Malibu and up Topanga Canyon to Winnetka.
Many thanks to David for organizing this yearly event.
See many of you in Cambria in the Spring.
