One thing's for sure...you California boys sure know how to do things..... I imagine that the government is BROKE partly because of all the expense of monitoring all those state imposed regulations....what a pity.

Re: Our State Parks ... this sucks !!

They are still taking reservations online. We have one for July just up the road. At $25+ a night for a tent site, you would think they could make money.

Rangers were telling us the NEW YEARS state budget mandates that as of JULY1, they have no funding to continue, and it sounded like 250+ more State run parks will be doing the same July one

It's all posturing, I would be willing to bet you they aren't closing.

Re: Our State Parks ... this sucks !!

How can they be closing with all the taxes you pay in CA to pay for all the great stuff??? It's posturing... they're getting ready to let you know they need to raise taxes... again.

I loved living in Marin county when I was there. It's the government and ridiculous taxes I couldn't live with.

It is a one political party state and there are too many government mandated programs crowding out essential services.

Re: Our State Parks ... this sucks !!

That's what happens when they keep passing law after mandate after regulation without any funding in the bills. And on top of all that, they STILL don't get it. We just had a special election where all of the tax increases were voted down and they're arguing about raising taxes!! It's time to sweep them all out. Who said they could cut state parks, family events, sell off the fairgrounds, and confiscate money from protected programs to save state jobs, keep entitlement programs going, and fund medical services for 30m illegal immigrants. As I've said before, I'm embarrassed to live in this state and like sooo many businesses and other intelligent folks, will be making my exit as soon as practical. Another funny thing is that Washington is modeling their approach to California. Soon we'll all be circling the drain together. Nice work, political hacks! Obviously, NOTHING is more important than yourselves and staying in office as professional politicians. Their incompetence is simply astounding.
