Relocating Back To Sac

Speaking of pendulums in an earlier post, I'll be leaving here in Maine soon and swinging back to Sac after 7 months. I plan to drive back to that area by the last week of June. Maybe by the HDDC on the 24th. I'll be going to Wilbraham, Massachussetts first to see my son's grandfather before going to Cornelius, North Carolina to visit my nephew and family. Then on to Missouri for a couple nights where I have a couple places to go. Maybe three places if Rob and Gail are there.

I'll be living with Colby for a while. He has a room for me. Close to my business in Carmichael too. Where all my stuff has been stored. I really miss my son anyway. That's really my main reason for returning. And, I have missed all you folks too and look forward to riding again in that area. Colby said I can maybe use his bike for a period. I think he's looking to sell it and get another one anyway. I've still got to sell my '78 Honda Goldwing and a few other items. I put over 2400 miles on it since April 2nd. Mostly in the Central Maine area. I really didn't feel too comfortable taking it too far. It is pretty old. But it still seemed bulletproof and relatively dependable for being 31 years old.

It's been interesting living back here in the fall, winter and spring. I've already been back here plenty of times in the summers. I really had my eyes opened with the snowmobiling industry in Maine. I can't wait to come back for a winter vacation now. I put 1400 miles on my sled in six weeks. Right from my door. No trailering.

See you all soon. I just updated the list below. I can't wait to hit a few of our favorite watering holes. And the eating food part is good too.

Re: Relocating Back To Sac

Hi Posse. I'm back.

I left Dover Maine on Friday the 5th at 9:30am and made it to Colby's grandfather's house in Wilbraham, MA by 2:30pm (310 miles). I visited with him until 4:00pm. Then I drove until 2:15am (950 miles) and stopped at a rest area and slept in my car until 6:15am the 6th. Later that day I made it to Council Bluffs, IA at a Western Inn by 6:00pm Saturday (1650 mi.). Sunday morning the 7th, I left at about 8:00am and made it to a Park City, UT Landmark Inn by 8:00pm (2650 miles). On Monday the 8th, I made it to Reno, NV at City Center Motel by 5:30pm (3130 miles). I could have made it to Carmichael on Monday the 8th by 8:00pm but decided to find a cheap motel ($39.00) and catch up on my sleep and make it into Carmichael by noon on Tuesday (130 miles).

A total of 3250 miles. Gained one hour each day through the three time zones. Only needed two nights motels really. The first day I just kept driving until I couldn't stay awake. Getting a motel for a few hours just didn't seem worth it. I saw many drivers sleeping at the rest area in their cars. A few GPS statistics: Moving average-71mph...Total time-83hrs...Moving time-44hrs...Stopped time-38hrs.

I went to my business to get my bed and a few other things stored with Colby and set up my room the rest of Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm staying with him in his duplex until the lease runs out in August. Then we'll look for a house to rent. I tried to make it to the Freeport Inn last night but it was too far. Next week I'll make it for sure.

Next week I'll start meeting with my clients. Networking and marketing my business more in this area and the bay area. Business has been slow and I'll need to find different sources of income. I may need to get out of my warehouse and start working out of my house again like I did for over 5 years when I started this business. Consolidating expences and downsizing will be neccessary. Including selling overstocks.

Anyways, it's nice to be back here to see my son. I missed him and the rest of you guys too. Hopefully I'll be back riding in this area soon.

I'm going down to Tracy to visit my sister and bil for my b-day tomorrow night. Colby is taking me to Infineon for Father's Day. At least one day of the long weekend anyway.

See you all soon.

I view it as a sudden unexplained total loss of momentum. perhaps brought about by aliens.

Kind of what happened to me. I had a sudden total loss of momentum softened somewhat by the volunteer Illegal throwing his pickup in my way to help absorb most of said force. and then not wishing to take credit for his good deed he left.

That looks better on the report anyway.
