Looking for lodging recommendations in San Fran

I'm going to be attending an embedded linux conference in San Francisco in early April at the Hotel Kabuki. Unless a non-rider goes with me, I'll be biking it. For those of you that call San Fran home, any suggestions on lodging for 4 weekdays? I've searched the list at travelocity, but I thought hometown people might have some insights. I want to keep costs down, but don't want bugs, and do want wifi.

Thanks for any help.

Why not say at the Kabuki? I was just at a concert in that area the other night and I believe they have their own underground garage so bike parking wouldn't be an issue. FRom a convenience perspective I would suggest that, staying elsewhere in the city and riding there every day could be a bit of a PITA, especially to park the bike all day.

That's certainly an option. Their "sister" hotel, the Tomo, is a little cheaper and I may do that. If I'm by myself though, a clean motel within walking distance (2 miles, maybe) would suffice. But, then the bike is outside, so that has its drawbacks.

Enjoyed my stay at Tomo. Close to Japantown restaurants. I think we got a bit off $$$ for AAA discount.
