Re: Hddc 10/15

I'm getting hungry too. I'll go anywhere this week. As long as it's not too far.

I'm going to be around here only a couple more Wednesday's. Then I'm off to the Springfild, Missouri area before going down to Lake Norman which is north of Charlotte, NC. Then on to Maine. I'm taking a month to a year off to find myself. Find myself a place to stay that is. Visiting relatives and looking at investment opportunities too. Within a year, I hope to start building one of three cabins on our family property in Dover-Foxcroft, Me. I want to build a complex of cabins there that is snowmobile/atv and motorcycle friendly. Here is a picture of a utility vehicle that my sister and I just bought. It's parked in front of our home there.

Also, I have a bunch of motorcycle jackets and gear that I need to sell. I'm already having a garage sale at my business in Carmichael this Friday. I'll tell more about what I have available in sizes by tomorrow's dinner.

Re: Hddc 10/15

Haven't heard of it but BBQ is always good, that would work, sounds good. I also thought of EG Brewery, Vinces', or Pizza somewhere? Anything is fine with me. Somewhere new is always nice. I even looked up the grill at the Golf course on the river but the menu was strictly bar food, no dinner food.

Yes - It's an OK place, some of the food is real good most of the time. They should have room for any size group.
Use to visit the place about once every other month when I lived in Natomas.

That's too bad. There are restaurants closing every where. The Rusty Duck closed last week and I know at least 4 L&L BBQ's that have closed in the last 3 weeks.

From our last visit Logan's won't be around long either...

You may get that "soon to be closed" feeling at Memphis BBQ as well. They are right across the street from Rusty Duck.

Taking about restaurants closing, JC Produce in West Sac where my ex works is also closing. They supply produce to many places around town like Denny's, Outback, Olive Garden, etc. including Northern and Southern CA. My ex is going to help close it down in the next month. She's selling her house here and moving to Florida.

I am shocked they do $70,000,000 a year and can't make a go of it!

A big hit from what? The inflated BS pricing of the last 3 years? That was all fake money. If she prices it properly it will sell and since she's owned it for quite a while should do OK.

The food was good. The service was excellent but the place is HUGE and it was empty. No way they'll be in business in 6 months if it like that every night. Too bad

Don't understand it really. It's surrounded by hotels and should have some decent traffic from that.

I have been to Memphis BarBQue, it does a pretty good lunch business from the State workers and warehouses in the area, at least it used to. I haven't been for a while. I would rate it as OK, but nothing to write home about, but didn't have a chance to post.

Too bad I missed you guys last night, but on a good note, the meeting I attended was in Brentwood/Antioch, and the highlight was riding the GoldWing down and back on the River Road under a full moon.
