Sad News from Sac Bee

An 80-year-old Citrus Heights motorcyclist was killed Sunday on Stone House Road near Latrobe Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer Michael Bradley said Edileusa Alves, 26, of Rancho Murieta was southbound in a Chevy van about 3:15 p.m. when, for unknown reasons, she crossed the double yellow line and struck the 80-year-old man, whose name has not been released.

The victim, who was northbound on a Suzuki motorcycle, died at the scene, Bradley said.

I stopped at the spot yesterday while we were out on a dual sport ride. 100 feet of skid mark at least...too sad.
