Might be able to make it, looks like they have all the hotel rooms in the area jacked up for the race.

I'd love to go. I went to Indy and really enjoyed it. But I'd want to ride out and it's probably 3 days each way. Probably isn't going to happen.

Re: AMA Superbikes - Laguna Seca 9/27-28

Just got offered a VIP Pass by the Brazilian Rookie I sat next to on the plane comming back from Indy.

Good for entry, lodging and meals in the Red Bull tent with the 22 team members and thier guests.

All I did was make sure he got his peanuts as he was sleeping when they were passed out, plus he is staying/training in Lodi.

Decisions, decisions???????

OK, I'm going.

First dinner is Friday night with the Red Bull Rookie team so I'll head down mid-morning and check things out.

Wonder if I can get a lap on the track?

Thumbs up Re: AMA Superbikes - Laguna Seca 9/27-28

Nice ride down today, went over Mt Hamilton and down 101.

Picked up my VIP credentials (entry to track, paddock pass, Red Bull Energy Center Pass.
Joined the Red Bull Rookies for fabulous dinner spread (open bar) in thier traveling clubhouse set up right next to the track at the bottom of the corkscrew and right next to the Corona Racing Team tent which has their pit in half and a bar in half. How great is that???
Should be good views from the second floor deck.

Schedule for the weekend;
Saturday-
8:30 Breakfast
12:45 Lunch
6:00 Dinner

Sunday-
7:00 Breakfast
1:30 Lunch

Oh Yea, I think there will some motorcycle racing going on in between meals.

Going to be a tough weekend to endure, but I will do it for the good of the Posse. Give me a call if in the area or if you want to hear Superbike exhaust noise from 5 feet away ( Sorry, I probably will not hear it ring, but leave a message 209/7476453).

PS-
Scored a nice room in Seaside 6 miles from the track on the recomendation of one of the riders parents.
Best Value Inn
1141 Fremont Blvd

Fri $69
Sat $129

Re: AMA Superbikes - Laguna Seca 9/27-28

I woke up with a nasty head cold this morning so I stayed home. I did get to watch the races on TV, though. I guess Ben's going to World SuperBike with the Factory Yamaha team. Looks like he's taking Haga's seat since Haga will be moving to Ducati to take over Bayliss' ride after he retires this year.
