Another Disturbance

Well, I decided that I am just not cutout for the GS. I was way too pampered by fairings. I didnt want another huge luxury touring bike since I ride solo. I considered an RT but I love 4 cylinders. Since my last LT blew a final drive, the RT puked head gaskets and the GS tossed its pivot bearings, so I decided to try out a Honda. So, I sold the GS and bought a nice 2005 ST1300ABS. Complete with Saergent saddle. Only 8k miles on the clock. I already ordered the riser plate for the bars. The Garmin 2730 and XM antenna will be going on next week. I stopped by A&S to pick up some BMW ribbed (for my pleasure) grips and I will be adding the heater elements to them. The bike has dual powerlets down below on the left side added like a BMW. The riser plate has a powerlet built in as well. In the future it will be new springs, race teck gold valves in the front shock, a wilburs in the back, a new windshield and a Russell day long to replace the saergent. I have only put on a few hundred miles but so far that sexy V-4 is a great motor and the airflow over the fairing is great. What can I say, I'm building a poor mans K1200GT.

Someday, perhaps with the new LT, BMW will offer another deep red color on their touring bikes. Going on ten years since Canyon Red.
