Question CCR - Remember when?

Remember those heady days back in 2004 and 2005 when the NorCal site would have been full of CCR oriented posts by now starting back in February! What to bring, what routes to take, who's riding together, places to stay, rideprep tech sessions, trailers for the pillions, encouraging new riders, farkling up, that fancy new upgraded LT for 2005, custom saddles, auxillary lighting, building enthusiasm, horsepower down below, and adventure ahead?

It's not too late. There are a lot of available registrations and rooms over on the Curve Cowboy forum. Some are even discounted. You "know" you want to go. Zermatt is about 700 miles from here. I doubt CCR will ever get much closer than that!

Has it become old hat? Been there, done that? Where will you be Aug 26-29, the State Fair? A dozen of us are departing August 22nd and returning Aug 30th. See you there but in case we don't, enjoy that deep fried twinkie!

Re: CCR - Remember when?

It all comes down to one simple question: How many CCRs does one have to attend before it's no longer an "event"? No longer worth the time and money spent. Some have more of those luxuries than others.

I attended three. That's enough . . . . . . . . . . for now.

It's not about the "event". It's about meeting up with friends. Folks that have become family. Doing it in cool location is icing.

If I remember correctly, even I got along with you.

Re: CCR - Remember when?

Sorry to sound stupid, I don't even know what CCR is or where it's at. Every talks about CCR this and CCR that, but haven't seen any actual CCR specific post.

Is there a ride(s) section on this site?
