I'm hungary and I'm in this week!

South and/or west of Sacto would be appreciated but certainly not required!

Cheers!

Re: Hddc 7/2

This is some kinda test, right?

Just how committed is Bacon to the HDDC??? He rarely shows up, he rarely writes, he rarely calls...

Butt, Pasquini's will work. It's a two and a half hour ride from my job and an hour and a half back to home for a 272 mile round trip! That's not even a tank of gas.

Did I pass?

Cheers!

Naw We were just thinking out loud.
I would have thought the Southern Boyz would have started a list by now. I just figured there would be a couple of us scofflaws heading North.

But then again you are an IBA LD rider right?

We've been there several times in the past couple months. Still family owned, they reopened from remodel about a year ago. If you don't go for the Italian, they also make an excellent ribeye steak. The purveyor of fine ice cream dishes in your group must be sure to try their homemade spumoni with the hard chocolate casing and fresh whipped cream on top. Good stuff!

Re: Hddc 7/2

HDDC is not about the FOOD, but a good meal does make you guys and gals easier to tollerate.

Had lunch at A & W a couple weeks ago with Huell Howser (yep, the channel 6 California Gold guy)and he thought it was great.

So did I, even if their rootbeer did not make the "Best" list recently published, its still damn good!
Lodi A & W also holds the Guiness World Record for the largest Rootbeer Float which I helped create.
http://www.awrootbeer.com/fun_record.htm

After dinner I can show you the plaque Howser helped dedicate at the location of the very 1st A & W.

It all started in Lodi at 8 W. Pine Street in 1919.
http://www.awrootbeer.com/hist_hist.htm

Just some trivia to enjoy.

So did I, even if their rootbeer did not make the "Best" list recently published, its still damn good!
Lodi A & W also holds the Guiness World Record for the largest Rootbeer Float which I helped create.

After dinner I can show you the plaque Howser helped dedicate at the location of the very 1st A & W.

It all started in Lodi at 8 W. Pine Street in 1919.

Just some trivia to enjoy.
I like that guy. Been watching his episodes for years. And actually rode my bike to several of the places he visited. Armed with golden knowledge about this states parks and off beat places.

I hope you managed to locate a few quality cigars to go with your late night fine wine. A bottle of regionally produced port?

Re: Hddc 7/2

Great dinner tonight!

The menu:
Appetizer: Root beer float
Entree: Double bacon cheeseburger
Side: Fries/onion rings
Beverage: Why, root beer of course in a frosty mug!
Desert: Oreo cookie blizzard

Great menu, eh?

And for those who asked tonight, here's a pic of the rifle I won:

Spike's Tacticle .22, sells for $1,195.

Hope you guys had a good time and made it home safe.

The food at Pasquini's is still great, we should try it out some time this summer.

Ah! The Black Dog. Almost looks like a suppressor on the front. I assume the magazine is not detachable for CA.

Interesting and aggressive design especially for a .22 and not unlike the MP5 I usually have with me when I visit Lodi.
