Trip I'd Like to Take- Deal's Gap

Down the Blue Ridge parkway and Deal's Gap (Dragon). A trip I'd like to take.

Check out this ride report.

Thumbs up Re: Trip I'd Like to Take- Deal's Gap

Did the Parkway in 05 on the way back from DC. Pretty but the slow speed limit gets old fast.

Did the Dragon in 06 the day after picking up the GS at Brazelton CCR.

Here I am enjoying my first GS ride http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/Orde...780X0035&po=35

See www.Killboy.com for current pics.

Just a couple of the many must do rides on the planet. Get going!

I'm checking out this ride for when the $dollar exchange turns around.

Re: Trip I'd Like to Take- Deal's Gap

One of the best rides ever. I try to get down there every year. Stay off the skyline drive. The park rangers are VERY strict on the speed enforcement, and the crowd, forget-it. But not one trooper from Rockfish Gap all the way down to the NC state line and some of the areas it’s like you are the only one on the road.
The dragons tail was fun… quite crowded though… get there early
