Rider Headset Cable req for J&M-based BMW system

Hello

I have the J&M-based Comm System unit/headsets on my 200LT/helmet. This cable comes in two parts, the short 12" length that connects to the helmet and then the 2nd part which joints the helmet cable to the plug on the bike..its of two lengths, shorter (18") for the passenger, longer (30"?) for the rider. For some stupid reason I seem to have shipped the rider cable to NZ. Does anyone local have one sitting around?

As far as I know, J&M only sells that cable by BMW dealers. I asked once and they redirect me to the dealer...

Thats right Elton. I have tried the two local dealers who as expected don't have the bottom half in stock which is all very reasonable, so I was just trying my luck.

I have a spare of each size. I replaced our lower cables last year with the new version that has the noise filter built in it. What did you have in mind?

How did yours end up getting shipped to New Zealand?

Sorry Bob, you just lost a sale :-) ....I didn't know about the lowers with a noise filter built in. I'll order today. I was just hoping a local rider would have one that I could ride over and pick up on the way down south tomorrow.

Ralph - You're welcome to borrow mine for the weekend ride if you want. I know how much I like being connected when I ride. I can get it back from you when you return. Call me if you want to borrow it -

I dont think Bob was trying to make a "sale" I think he was more like trying to help you out.

Bob and Nelson.....I did appreciate that, it was how I understood it....I was just being facetious. It was a nice offer, hope I get the chance some day to do the same.
