Vancouver to the tip of South America (TDF)

Had a guest Friday and Sat. evenings. I found him on ADVrider and offered a suggestion on route and offer of place to stay. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=286279

Helped him finish some shopping (thanks Raffy for the heated vest) and worked on his bike and had enough time for a loop around Lake Camanche.

Sent him off Sunday morning to Yosemite and the rest of his trip which I hope to duplicate in Jan 09.

Add this to your "favorite links" http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=287915 and follow along (his new camera we bought is taking great pics).

Cool story on his trip, nice of you to put him up and ponderize his KTM. I don't remember any of our BMW's on there sides in your vinyard, is that just a KTM thing?

The leaves are falling and so are the bikes if you forget to disable ABS (or do not do it correctly as was his case). Once he got the ABS off he did several more passes with no mishaps.

He is really new to riding motorcycles off road but used to race mountain bikes so is pretty good for 2 months experience. Took him for a "HOT" lap[ around Camanche and he kept up but commented he had never ridden "that" fast in the twistes. He was grinning ear to ear.

He will be a seasoned Adventure Rider if he survives this trip, can'nt wait till he returnes to report in person.

Anytime.
We did Lodi Beer Company Fri. nite, Waterloo Ribs take-out Sat.
Not exactly "home cooking" so you probably would have been disappointed.
