The Ride to Fort Bragg (CA, since I get that question every year
) is go! I'm putting the last details together for everything, but enough is set up to get things rolling. So let's do it!

17 - 2 double beds ($73)

to get this rate. The cutoff for getting rooms in our block at this rate is September 22.
Tony's Seafood Restaurant
18863 Highway 1
We'll meet here for lunch at 11:30 a.m. They will open early to seat us so we don't have to wrestle with the regular lunch crowd.
North Coast Brewery Tap Room
, 6:30 p.m.
I am working with them on our dinner menu and will update everyone on that once it's finalized. The requested we do a special menu this instead of ordering off the house menu so they can insure they have enough of the items on hand and can prepare and serve the group at roughly the same time instead of the delays some folks have experienced in the past. Don't worry, you can drink any of the beer they have on tap, all the time.
The Ride There:
As usual we keep it kind of loose. I've taken a group from San Jose BMW
to Tony's for lunch the last few years, and will do so again this year. We'll meet at the shop at 9 a.m. and leave at 9:15 a.m., taking freeway to San Francisco and over the Golden Gate Bridge, then going a more scenic route once north of SF.
Folks from the Sacramento area tend to gather and ride together, so watch for info on that. Also, some folks just like to do it their way and meet us there. It doesn't really matter which one you choose, as long as you come along and have some fun with us!
After lunch everyone basically does their own thing for the ride to Fort Bragg. It's not hard to get there from Tony's; just follow Highway 1 until you get to Fort Bragg. The Motel is on the north end of town and the restaurant is walking distance (OK, staggering for some
) from there.
Just remember, everyone should ride their own ride, even if traveling with a group of folks for parts of this. Don't ride over your head or take silly risks. The point is to have a good time and enjoy hanging out with a bunch of friends, old and new!
The Ride Home:
Everyone pretty much does their own thing.
That's the scoop on things for now. I'll start a list on this thread, and please add your name (and your SO if coming) to it so I can give the restaurants a final headcount as we get closer to the weekend. We've had a lot of fun on this ride every year (even when I've totaled a bike on it
), and I'm guessing we'll have as much fun if not more this year! So sign up soon and let's get ready to ride!
I hope to see you all there!!
