Well we have a great break from the heat this week, it should be a perfect night for a ride.
We still have the light, although the days are getting shorter - So where to?????
West - Cache Creek?
East - The Ore Cart?
North - Buonarroti Ristorante?
South - Guisti's?

It would be great if some new blood would suggest a new spot!

We kept the streak alive Didn't eat at the buffet though, it's closed on Wednesdays now. We ate at the sports bar instead. I did get a free meal though thanks to Scotty's expert coaching at the BlackJack table

HDDC 8/8; Small Turnout on Big Bikes

It was big bike night as all four of us, read all four of us (where were you slackers? ) showed up on Luxury Touring Bikes.

Now Ted informed me that the LT is the Luxury Touring bike, not my Gold Wing, hence the term LT, not GW, so Doug, Scotty and Ted rode their LUXURY TOURING bikes, while I rode my (lowly) Gold Wing.

In any case the 3 of us, Ted, Doug and I set out for Cache Creek from the truck stop at roughly 6:15 PM, and Scotty caught up with us there.

The Cache Creek buffet is pretty good. Too bad it is now dark on Wednesdays, and Thursdays for that matter. The meal at the sports bar and grill was ok, but it does not qualify as a destination.

So scratch Cache Creek from the HDDC possibles list.

Kudos to Ted and Scotty who won back their dinner costs at the black jack table.

It was roughly 69 degrees on the way home. Cruising down I-5 at 75 or so with the XM radio on was really pleasant. When I got to my exit, I was really wishing I could be on my way somewhere, instead of going home.

So, a small turn out this week, relatively speaking, but a good ride none the less. Hope to see you guys next week!
