BBBBBBBBBBBBBrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The low on Sunday morning was 21 degrees for Sacramento, broke a 100 year old record or something like that..... Global warming????

This morning it was up to 24 degrees - I still road the S into work.

Lost Laminar Lip/Too cold for the glue

Yesterday while I was on my way to Nathan's on the Caponord I saw a flash as the Laminar Lip flew over my head and was lost on the freeway. It was so cold that the glue failed.

Saturday my garage door opener flew out of my pocket so it must be my week to lose things.

When Nathan and I were installing my heated grips I noticed the bolts holding the rear sub fram to the main frame were loose, so I guess if I hadn't tightened them, the next thing to fall off could have been the back half of the bike?

They are sending another (at a discount) with nylon fasteners this time.

Summer in Sonoma County. I can't wait for warm weather.

A lot of "for profit" commercial enterprise employees are working today.

A buddy and I rode up to Foresthill(3225ft msl) on Saturday afternoon for lunch at the Ore Cart. We stayed too long as it had dropped to 35 degrees by 3pm. The shadows were getting long and felt colder in the shade. Had the electrics on but it was still quite nippy on the fingertips and toes until they reached fully heat production. No wonder we didn't see any other riders up there! Warmed up to 45 down in Auburn plus all the benefits of solar radiation.

Yesterday I rode the RT from Sonoma back to Burney via Hwy 12 to Santa Rosa, then up Hwy 101 to Hopland. It was mostly 23 degrees up to Hopland, then it was in the mid to low thirties as I rode around Clear Lake on Hwy 20. When I reached the Valley the temps climbed up to the low 50's all the way up to Redding. It was 32 when I reached home in Burney. The Gerbing gear worked just fine (when I finally realized that I forgot to plug in my socks). Aside from the cold temps, the scenery was spectacular. You have to love the clearness of sub freezing air. I didn't care for the north wind pushing against me all the way up I-5.

Please guys...STOP! You're breaking my heart. NOT 21 Fahrenheit! Say it isn't SO!!!

But look on the bright side. Maybe all that ice will fuse the faults together and keep CA from falling into the Pacific!!!

Man, it's freezing in South Texas as we speak and will be for a couple of days. Very unusual. We may even see a few flakes. I hope it kills off some of the steenkeen bugs.
