Re: Rides on West USA for June-Aug

Your tag says Northern Cal. There is a rally in Quincy middle of September. I really think you would enjoy the John Day rally in Oregon. Plenty of directed rides and plenty of general riding. Further a field, my home state rally in Republic is fun, smaller though. Best food of the bunch is Stanley stomp. Though I was fed well in Nakusp and Beartooth. If you have never ridden over Bear Tooth Pass you need to go to that rally.
Every year I go to a small K bike get together in Downieville and Markleeville. We ride the high passes and small roads in the area for a week. Nothing like getting a room in Markleeville for a few days and doing some riding. Then there is always the Moki dugway. If you have not ridden here wow. Vermillion cliffs, Mexican Hat. Goose neck bend park above the Colorado. Amazing!! Don't let the hype worry you, I did it on my K1300S, plenty of Harleys too. If it is raining maybe take a pass if slippery.

Hey Beech,
I am gonna try to make the Chief's in OR.

However, my RT/s have never done dirt road. If I had a GS I wouldn't mind.
I have to get back to work around first week of Aug. at the latest, I might be able to stretch it to second week, but Sept is out of my reach.

This Summer I 'll on the road from May 21, till Aug.
