H.D.D.C. Holiday Party

It's time to discuss our annual bash folks...
I have three dates that can work for me if everyone wants to have it at my place.
Wednesday December 6th, Tuesday December 12th or Wednesday December 20.

Input please...

No can do on the 6th.

Once again thank you for taking the lead on this. If my casa was done, I'd offer my place.

Well Scott,
Since it's at your place, I would say what ever works for you best. I'm good for either Wednesday but prefer the 20th - be more in the season.

Thanks for hosting again.

That's a good date. I'm leaving for a Maine Christmas on Thursday the 21st at 11pm. Back on Wednesday the 27th. Three legs each way. I really don't like flying that much. But it's all worth it to be near some kids and have a white Christmas, I guess. My sis who lives in the old house now, will have it all decorated in and out, I'm sure. Beyond any control or taste, I'm very sure.

Party party party...

I'm glad to see the 20th is in the lead since I will (once again) be on the other coast for the next two weeks. All this travel is getting tedious and putting a crimp on my riding time.

BTW: Those of you who know I haven't been doing much recreational riding (just commuting) due to my remodeling project: the good news is it's almost complete! Everything's in except the big screen TV.

I hope to have an HDDC event at my house in El Cerrito next summer when you Sacto guys will want to escape the heat! Here's a preview (taken with my cell phone) of the refreshment stand.

Would I be the only one who prefers Monday? It's just more likely that I can make that date then the following Thursday. Either way, I'll be in town and I'll do my best to get me and the Mrs. there!

Howdy Scotty,

Since my schedule continues to have me in Chicago M-Friday afternoon, Friday, Saturday or even Sunday night would be great!

I have to say, and without fear of contradiction, that the HDDC Holiday Party is one of the best parties of the season. It is certainly worthy of being elevated to on of the "prime" party nights.... which, coincidentally, is one of the times I'm available

Here's a radical idea. Have it somewhere else this year. Scott's put this on for several years in a row. Any chance of using that winery down in Lodi on the 20th? I think we had the 2nd anniversary gathering there last year.

I like all the ideas...

a Saturday I think would be good for everyone... I can make the 16th work... will have to reararage some things ..... but it is the best party in town...

the January party is good too... but I think that the before the holidays things is the best...

vote for the 16th

Hey Scott,

Like I said thanks for hosting this again, and since it's your place - Pick a date that works best for you. This HDDC Christmas Party has come to be a tradition and obviously means a lot to the HDDC.
If you set the date, they will come......................

The best date I can do is Thursday the 21st or I will hold something when I come back from vacation. How does this sound to everyone?

The 21st is perfect, as I need to be out of town the 20th For a memorial service.
Janet's Mother passed away Sunday morning. Janet has been back and forth to Shaver Lake for several days each week being the supporting and caring daughter for several months. This past Monday she took her to the doctors appointment and new tests revealed no hope, so they went out to Mexican food lunch and spent 2 hours at Target completing her Christmas shopping. Thursday Janet got a call at work from her brother that caused her to rush back down and maintain a bedside vigil till her mother peacefully passed early Sunday morning during what Janet described as the most beautiful and quietest snow storm she could recall.

Take time this Holiday season to remember those loved ones who have passed and to tell those important in your life what they mean to you.

Doug,

Sorry to hear about Janet's Mom... I agree with your thoughts... life is too short... our thoughts and prayers are with Janet, you and your family...
