Sunday ride

Since Mother Nature does not want to give a whole week end to ride on, I was hoping for a Sunday ride in the same neighborhood.

I was wondering if anyone would like to meet at the Bonanza restaurant in Jackson for lunch at 11:00 and then take a ride up and around the 88 and 89 area for some sight seeing then back to Sutter Creek for a late afternoon expresso to ward off the chill before heading back out our separate direction home.

Saturday looks like a wash out, but the forecast for Sunday is clear and we might get a glimpse of some white fresh snow.

Restaurant update

I found out the Bonanza does not open until Noon on Sundays. So the new meet time will be at noon instead of 11:00 am. That will give you another hour of pre-riding before lunch and a chance for the higher elevations to warm up a little more.

Thumbs up

Might have been the last one for awhile but what an excellent dayride. The sun came out, the wind stayed down, and road was remarkably clean. From the great lunch in Jackson to the frosty Bear Valley vista point to the warm coffee and conversation in Sutter Creek, a good time was had by all.

Great time

Ten riders on seven bikes equals a great time. We started off with a good lunch at the Bonanza Restaurant and the oh so important peach cobbler for dessert. Then off we went up Hwy 88 to see the first snow of the winter. A brief photo op at the vista overlooking the reservoir below and a brisk 29 degrees was awaiting us.

We then headed back down the mountain to Sutter Creek for a mocha and an impromptu game Trivial Pursuit hosted by our own MC, Dan.
