Drinks Thursday in SJC?

Any of you illustrious San Jose riders up for a drink and/or some food Thursday night this week? I'm thinking Duke of Edinburgh in Cupertino (Wolfe RD and 280).

Wish I could join you. Used to be one of my favorites when we lived in SJ.

I'm probably in. It depends on when the granite contractor is finished with my downstairs project. Yes, folks after three years it's on the home stretch!

Cheers!

Here's the directions from their website:

Take Interstate 280 to Wolfe Rd. in Cupertino.

• If exiting from Southbound 280, turn Left onto Wolfe Rd.

• If exiting from Northbound 280, turn Right onto Wolfe Rd.

Turn Left into the Cupertino Village Shopping Center.

The Duke of Edinburgh Pub and Restaurant is on the Right.

10801 N. Wolfe Road
Cupertino, CA 95014
(408) 446-DUKE (3853)

Although I said "San Jose", technically it's Cupertino - right off of 280. When you exit 280 and get on Wolfe Rd. there is a Courtyard and a Hilton Garden Inn on your left - turn left at the light just past the hotels the street is Pruneridge (I think), you'll see a "Bank of the West" on your right drive around behind the bank's drive through lanes and "The Duke" is on the right.

Lots and lots of choices in the way of libations - think single malts .

Okay, we're set. I've reserved a table for 6 in the little alcove they call "snug" - kind of dark in there but quiet compared to the mayhem in the common area. If the rain has stopped by then we can move out to the patio so Senor Bacon can smoke - I may even be tempted to have one .

Reservation is under "Booze Brothers" or for the more refined you can also ask for a reservation under Richard.

Out of concern for my LT brethren I did a recon of the site tonight to make sure there was a single malt or six that met standards .

See y'all tomorrow.

-Richard
