I will be at Rick Mayer's on Saturday the 30th getting a seat for the GT. We should be finished by 4pm. I need to head (leisurely) East on Sunday morning, otherwise my schedule is open.

FWIW I will be leaving Denver and Staying in Delta, UT on Thursday. Friday head out across US 50 through Reno to Chester, CA. Saturday through Lassen Volcanic park to Rick's in Anderson.

If anyone has better suggestions, I would love to hear them.

Oh no not Delta Utah! The Posse has had some bad luck there over the years - Don't ask. I can tell you the the Best Western is a hole. I would press on to Ely and spend the night there.
You should enjoy the route, it does take a little time to ride through Lassen.

The problem is that I cannot leave Denver until after a meeting on Thursday morning - prolly about 8:30am. To make Ely it will be well after dark. I have no aversion to riding at night, but usually try to avoid it if possible. Where have you stayed in Ely?

This is a Historic Hotel Casino, from a long ago era when the rooms were small but very clean. A very Motorcycle friendly hotel that will give you a discount and let you park in front of the main entrance if you let them know your on an MC. Not the fanciest by far but I like the place - it's a Nevada desert type place.

There are many hotels in Ely and on a thursday there should be no problem finding a room. If you do press on to Ely after dark there is a Elk herd about 10 miles east of Ely thats well marked.

obviously no one is helping me with the location decision.

So, I say Hotel Del Rio in Isleton for some serious prime rib. I'll call and make sure they are still serving. Second choice is Vince's in Elk Grove.

Anything y'all decide will be fine with me. Just remember I will be heading in from Anderson at about 2-3:00pm. It is about 150 miles to Sacramento, so the timetable needs to be appropriate.

I wanna go! I'm starting to have social withdrawal symptoms! I mean how long can a girl remain locked in her room with her school books? I like Doug's idea too! I vote for that, but either place is great, and either one gets me out of the house!

I am guessing it is this place - and it sounds good. If I leave Rick's by three I should be able to meet there at around 6:30. Could we plan on meeting at 7:00 or is that too late? I could also meet somewhere north of there if any of you are riding in from the north side of town.

I would absolutely like to meet at A&S if Rick finishes my seat early enough. If I have the time I will be at A&S between 5:00 and 5:30. If I am running late I will head straight to Raffy's

Ijust called and they do close at 5:00. I will still try to make it there before they close, but if time is a problem I will plan on meeting at Raffy's. I will give Raffy a call Saturday afternoon and let him know.

Well, I arrived in Ely, NV about an hour ago. Looks like I have pretty good connectivity through Verizon. I made very good time today and found that on the GT you can make it from Delta, UT to Ely, NV in just over an hour and a half. See y'all Saturday.

Thanks for letting your Oregon brethern crash the party. Had a great time. Got back to Bend by 2PM. No one on I-5 at six in the morning. Averaged nearly 100 all the way to Red Bluff. A CBR1000 and I played tag all the way into Klamath Falls. Can't make Fort Bragg but I'll see you guys again before you know it.

Thanks. It was too brief, but I enjoyed it.

This morning I rode 104/88/89 to South Lake Tahoe, great roads and a great ride until I ran into Tahoe traffic.
