Billy Turner

Ted heard today that Billy (BillyOmaha) had passed away. He didn't get any details and I was wondering if anyone here has heard anything. He was always a fun guy and great rider.

Re: Billy Turner

"Omaha" was a great guy to tour with, GSing with or just having dinner. I don't have any info on his passing. The world will be a little less bright without Billy "Omaha" Turner. RIP

I sent Nancy a Facebook message however it goes to her "Other" mailbox unless I want to pay. If I don't hear back I will pay the $1.

Re: Billy Turner

Very saddened to hear this. Even though it's been years since I last spoke to him, I will always remember how great a rider he was, and what a great guy to be around.

Re: Billy Turner

I can't believe how sad I feel. All the cool memories and conversations. He was with me and Raffy on our 'misadventure in the mountains' too. He stayed with both of us in the hospital until our rides came. He was new to riding yet was a natural and became a very good rider very fast. I always admired him.

What a great guy.
Showed me his 160mph time slip when he ran Bonneville (think it was 2007).

Re: Billy Turner

Damn. Met Billy at CCR '08. Had a "few" drinks, and went on a ride or two; haven't seen him in years though. What a shame - too soon.

He was a great rider. Dude had skills.

Re: Billy Turner

I'm stunned and without words. I had been thinking about him lately and was going to post if anyone had heard from him lately. I'm so very sad, so many great memory's. He gave me a small gift years ago that I love, now even more so.

Re: Billy Turner

Hi Everyone, I went to Billy's funeral today. The pain the room was overwhelming. I got a chance to talk to Nancy. She apologized for not getting touch, I told her we understood that she had her hands full. His death was sudden and his autopsy has still not been concluded, so it is not known what took him, but the suspicion is it had to do with his heart. I scanned the memorial for everyone, it has lots of nice pictures. If anyone want Nancy's address PM me.
