Re: Chowder?

Okay then 12 - 1230 sounds good. As long as I don't have to eat chowder I'm fine

Any other takers in the NW or anywhere else for that matter.

Re: Chowder?

Hey guys,

I talked to Brian this afternoon about riding down together. It would be great to see everyone and catch up. I have been a little under the weather this week soo I will have to see how I feel later this evening. I took the last two days of work to get some rest. Hope to be able to join in on Saturday.

Re: Chowder?

Art,

I started a new job August 1st. I'm working for a small automotive group as a manager of one of eight stores, each store has between five to eight people. Not quite the job I had in mind after leaving 23+ years in the car business but, it's OK for now. There is little or no stress compared to working for a GM dealer. I must say I sure miss the freedom to just take off when ever the strikes me, but I know that time will come again not to far down the road.

Amy came home sick Friday from work so with her sick and me just starting to get over being sick I decided to stay home and get a little more rest. Hope you guys had a great visit and a great ride. Hope to get together soon .

Re: Chowder?

Well, the morning started off a little chilly and exceptionally foggy, but boy did it turn out to be a beautiful day. I enjoyed seeing everyone and thanks for the company on the ride home Art and John. The chowder was delicious as usual. Good call, Brian. Thanks for getting us out on the road today.

Re: Chowder?

Yes, The chowder was good again! Nice and hot to help you warm up after a cool morning ride. It was great seeing you southerners again. Its been to long! Nick and I had a great ride home. Good to ride with you again Nick! The roads were infected with them sneaky revenue collectors. But once again we avoided paying any tolls. Except that 5 bucks for a motorcycle to cross the narrows bridge... Thanks Nick for picking up the tab. Lets do it again soon boys. Oh yeah, the name of that BBQ place on the coast was River view. It smelled good going by and the cranky cook was outside tending to the fire.

Smile Re: Chowder?

Sorry to miss the good company, the ride, and the chowder -- just had to settle for mid70's and sunshine here in southern AZ and CA. I did break out in a sweat when I saw an LT cruising along I-10 - made me pine for the GT. Glad you had your own bit of sunshine. I've seen very few bikes in these parts over the past couple of weeks and the riding weather has been great by my standards!

Re: Chowder?

Denny,

Glad to see you and Michele are enjoying retirement. Sounds like a trailer behind the motorhome to house the GT would be a great addition for nice sunny AZ days.

Re: Chowder?

I do miss my GT, Clayton. I saw a group of riders today at Casa Grande National Monument - mostly Harley's with a few Goldwings, a couple of Spyders and one lonely LT who came in with his radio blaring at boom box levels. 'twas good to see the 2Wheel boys.

Re: Chowder?

Thats cuz I use the waxy type ear plugs and always ware a helmet.

The group, with a few 250-350cc bikes ridden by petite women, is "Free Wheelers", out for their weekly Sunday ride.

Sorry to see you don't have something to ride.

Oh. People have been mentioning "Bike Week", in April--don't know a thing about it,
