Tks, but no Tks Denny! We are constantly heading back to Ok City because that is where they chose to locate the FAA Academy. They wanted a centralized location.

And the MC Show is the weekend of Dec 16-18. I get back on the 16th.

I just talked with John and unless something drastic comes up we are planning on coming up on Saturday. It will be good to see folks again. Not sure if we want to try and set up some sort of car pool or meet Brian at his place so he can fix us green chile breakfast burritos.

We are thinking that I'll pick him up at about 8. We can pick you up around 8:30/9:00. If we go in my truck someone (not me) will have to sit in the back seat. I've been told that it is fairly comfortable.

I am glad you all are going to make it! I will gladly make burrito's for the gang. Except I live about 40 miles north of Seattle now and a lovely commute it is... NOT. Let me know when you plan on arriving at the show so I can meet up with ya all. Keep in mind its at the convention center now and not where it used to be held.

Red face Re: M/C show and Art

Well gang, it looks like some of the Oregon contingent may not be there this year. It seems our driver decided to spend some time in the hospital instead of making it to the MC show! Art is currently recovering from surgery he received today as a result of the ticker not keeping up during his stress test. I guess it was pretty scary for awhile, but if it is gonna happen you could not have picked a better place than your Dr's office!

After a short ambulance ride to the hospital they did a quick operation (about 27 minutes from admission to the ER to the completion of surgery, according to Marcia!) to insert a stint to open things up again.

According to Marcia Art is a little groggy at this time, but everything turned out great. They will probably keep him under observation at the hospital for the next few days at least, so no Show for Art.

I will try to keep you all apprised as soon as I know more. Tomorrow some time hopefully.

Enjoy the show for us, and if Triumph is there I would love to see some pics of their new 1200cc Explorer!

Re: M/C show

Get well soon Art! I'm glad you were in good hands when your ticker decided to nap. Its a very common procedure these days and you should start feeling better rather quickly. I will be thinking of you.

I just spoke to Art and he sounds fine. He says they should be moving him into a regular room tomorrow morning some time. Intensive Care for tonight though just in case. He says he will give me a call in the morning.

John, Marilyn, Dan, Michele and I visited Art and Marcia at their house and there was no way to tell Mr. GS was in the hospital last night - wow! Way to go Art and just keep on healing, but take your time. Nice to see all you guys. Sorry we missed you, Brian. IF you were going to buy a new bike, what hooked your fancy at the show?

Re: M/C show

Well that was exciting but not fun. I did learn that if you have a heart attack at the cardiologists office you get to go to the front of the line for everything.

Normal stay in the hospital they tell me is 5 to 7 days. But since they caught and corrected everything so quickly there wasn't any damage (that they could tell right now anyway) to my heart. All tests showed that everything was working like it should and they gave me the boot with no restrictions. I took that to mean more bacon but was informed by Marcia that they did not mean that. Humm?

After a very nice visit from Dan (Debbie sorry to have missed you), Denny/Michelle and John/Marilyn I went and got my new prescription came home and went to bed for a few hours. For some reason I was a bit tired.

Thanks all for the thoughts and sorry to disrupt the trip to Seattle. I'll buy the blizzards next opportunity And I hope that is real soon.

John and I finally got my new Wilbers (WESA) on the GSA and I've not been able to ride it yet. I need to do that as soon as I feel confident that I am not putting myself or others at risk.
