Smile Tech Session

I have all the parts to install the chain tooth jump guard on my K1300GT and Ernie has graciously agreed to do a tech session at his place this Saturday at 10:00 AM. We'll also do an oil and filter change at the same time. Hope y'all can come.

Denny

P.S. What say, Brian - you've been there done that as well?

Re: Tech Session

Denny,
I am going to pass on this one. This is a boating weekend. Sanjuans are calling. It would be great to see ya all again though. Reuse the good gasket the bike came with! The new paper one is not worth a dime. You may consider buying some Non stretch bolts also. They seem to have worked just fine for the last almost century on motorcycles.

Sorry you can't join us, Brian. When the San Juan Islands call, you just gotta go.

I went ahead and got the replacement screws, but do plan on using the original gasket. Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks to Ernie for hosting the tech session (including lunch thanks to Pauline) and watching over my shoulder while installing the chain tooth jump guard on my K1300GT. Also did an oil and filter change. Much appreciate it Ernie and twas a pleasure to meet Eric "an odd noise in my LT" from Washougal.

It was our pleasure Denny. Pauline enjoyed hosting the lunch on the deck. I enjoyed seeing inside another K13GT. The more I work on these bikes the less intimidated by them. Thanks for sharing your bike and the experience.

Eric, it was good to see you again. I hope we can get o the bottom of your transmission noise soon.

Re: Tech Session

Ernie,

It was fun to watch Denny and you work on his GT. What a bike!
Work is one of those things I can watch all day
Thanks Pauline for the great lunch and hospitality.

It will be interesting to find out what lurks in the clutch/tranny area of my bike. I look forward to getting my LT noise eradicated.

Thanks for all you do.

Oh, don't worry, you'll get to see far inside one of these bikes soon enough . . .

All lower 48 states plus Alaska on the K13GT in two weeks . . .

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
