Hey all, I don't post here often , but I think this is important to all of us. Please keep his family in your thoughts.

The news up here was saying that neighbors of the shooter said she was probably mentally disturbed. Here is a short article about her. At least one TV broadcast had mentioned that she was in fact allowed to return home, but that may have been a mistake. Certainly hope so!

John thanks for responding. Yes, that report was a mistake...she was not allowed to return home. It is true that she was mentally disturbed with a history of issues.
Eugene lost one of its best officers due to this senseless act. A
I attended the memorial and it was an emotional event. The community is still disheveled by this atrocity.

There are no words to ease the loss... or tragedy.

Now, because of one person's demons, we all suffer loss.

The Officer was "one of the best".... he clearly lived his "profession" as a "calling".... and that says it all about him.

One wonders about the inability to protect us from the sick....

May God rest the souls of our fallen..
