Smile Red River Roundup

I had sent Old Rango a message some weeks ago asking about the Red River Roundup and got this reply today.

Denny

Sorry for the late reply. We are not going to do a Red River Roundup this year. __________________

Unhappy Re: Red River Roundup

Well I guess that makes the decision making process about whether or not to go a little easier Denny, but it is still a bummer!

Smile Re: Red River Roundup

Yeah, too bad. After hearing you folks talk about it I was up for it this year. We'll just have to figure something else out where there is a DQ.

Hey I heard also - Bummer. - I have been to everyone since it started.
But I'm heading up to Crater Lake on June 5th and then over to Gold Beach June 6th - 8th or so. If anyone is up to riding then.

Re: Red River Roundup

Yep, it's official. We're not doing the Red River Roundup. But, I've had several people call or PM me still expressing interest in doing it. Y'all can still get together and do it. I don't have any patents, copyrights or anything else like that on the deal. I do, however, have a movie coming out in a couple of days. It's always been a good time up there, but I have sold my bike and have some other financial obligations (like a son in college) and some other interests going on right now. Maybe we'll revive it in the future or move it around to another locale. Until then, ride safe.

Later,
Rango

Re: Red River Roundup

Rango, Sorry to hear you are not putting on RRR this year. It would not be the same without you. It has been a rough year for all of us after loosing some great friends over the last couple of years. I will keep an eye out for any future RRR's. I Will miss that great group that attends yearly. What movie? Tell us more.
I still plan on taking a ride down that way so maybe you NWstrs can find time for a ride with a few detours in it. Maybe meet up at Red River for a night or two with those still going

Damn me, I ALWAYS wanted to make your gig, Rango - just never could get organized enough to show up. Had a promise to myself to try harder, butt it weren't to be. I owed you a visit, after you made a run to meet us at a South Central RTE - the Hard 8 BBQ brothel RTE back in the day, wuzn't it?? I'll still hold that debt open and can hopefully pay it when I hear you're back in the saddle and thangs are rosier at the Springer ranch. Best to ya, Rango.
