Seattle MC Show

Does anyone know if they will be a K1600GLT at the Seattle show? I e-mailed RideWest and asked them, but have yet to hear back.
I'm sort of thinking that one being there might make all the difference in whether I go up or not.

Re: Seattle MC Show

I hope it is, but checking the web site for the show, they have not even updated the factories that are going to be there, still showing who was there for the 09-10 shows.

Re: Seattle MC Show

I checked the San Mateo and Seattle shows, and neither even shows BMW as a participant. Guess I'll check after San Mateo's is over and see if they showed. Bummer.

Re: Seattle MC Show

I got a note from "my guy" at Ride West that included the following:

"I regret to inform you that BMW will not participate in the motorcycle show in Seattle. This year we cannot afford to do it either, as we did last year on our own dime.
BMW will most likely be in NYC and LA where the motorcycle press is present. I will travel to Vancouver BC, where rumor has it the 1600 will be displayed."

Sounds like BMW is planning to dodge most of the shows this year. Almost makes me want to zip up to Vancouver, just to have a chance to sit on a GTL!

Re: Seattle MC Show

The Vancouver show used to always have the NEW BMWs before the Seattle show. It is a fun show and always has a few bikes that are not imported into the good old USA.
When the K1200LT came out, we went up to Vancouver for the unveiling and brought back a picture of wife and I on the LT to Tacoma BMW. They had not even seen pictures of the bike yet!

Re: Seattle MC Show

Local Dealer said BMW will only be at Long beach and NYC shows primarily due to costs of their vans, tight scheduling between cities, crews and exhibition space cost at each show.

Ducati & Triumph have similar venues.

Re: Seattle MC Show

The Seattle MC show was terrible last year. In and out in less than one hour. Very small. Populated by local dealers mostly. Our local MC show in Spokane was bigger...
