Hey, Brian - somehow, I thought Jeff and Judy were hanging out down in AZ these days, so I posted a HB thang in the Southwest Forum. Maybe I goofed, and if so - Happy Birthday, Jeff - if he reads it here!!!

Edit: his profile does say AZ now, so I guess 'tween us Brian, he oughta get the happy wishes!!!!

Thanks all. Yes, we are finally about all moved down to sunny Phoenix, (actually Peoria) Arizona. The last of the stuff in the moving truck is going into a storage unit today. Ended up doing the move in two parts, because I underestimated the size of the load vs the size of the original truck. Had a fun (NOT!) ride down on Tuesday/Wednesday in the rental truck. Went down the coast because of the snow conditions in the valley/Siskiyous. Hit two blizzard stretches, one of which was a total "white out" at night going over to the coast. Had to pull over and wait for a semi to come along and then I just blindly followed his tire tracks. Fortunately he stayed on the road or I would have followed him over the edge! The rest of the time was just hard constant rain, some big wind, and fog. To say that I was elated to see, and get to the sun is a gross understatement. Yeah but it is a "cool" sun, only been in the 60's (Ah Gee!)... perfect temperature for unloading, reloading and storing. I am so ready to be done with moving related activitites and just kick back and catch my breath. I am more than ready to get in a little "bike time".
Job situation is still in limbo, I have one good lead. We will see how all that works out. Fortunately with this birthday I qualify for Social Security and right now that sounds pretty good.
Hopefully this summer there will be an opportunity to ride and visit you all in the great Northwest. In the meantime, I will continue to monitor the NW forum as I still consider that "Home".

Happy Birthday, Jeff. I just spent most of ten days in Palm Springs and Newport Beach and it was a VERY nice break with lots of sunshine. Be well in Peoria and remember, it's a dry heat.

Yeah, we know. Around here we just call that "February".

Oh, and Happy Belated Birthday, Jeff. I hope you're enjoying all those new, twisty, dry roads.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: Happy birthday Jeff

Yeah but in another couple of months we can start chatter about the beautiful day here while it is 115 there. Kinda hot if you ask me I know because I lived in Phoenix for 3 years and people only ride at night in the summer.

Still there are lots of great places to explore in Arizona. I think I had more fun outdoors there then anywhere else that I've lived. Lots of open spaces.

Happy B'day too.
