I have posted something similar to this before in the main forum, but I wanted to throw it out to the "locals" for some feedback.
My 2003 LT has a sputter to it that is driving me nuts. Specifically, at low or no load conditions on the throttle, the bike sputters and burbles like it is missing. At higher RPMs (above 3000 RPMs) and full load conditions like accelerating or climbing a hill, it does not do it. It will also do it if I run the throttle up slowly in neutral and then hold the throttle. I know bike's are not designed to run like this, but I have NEVER had another bike by any manufacturer sputter and burble unless something is wrong.
I have had it in twice to the dealer and I was first told that it was fine. I later took it back and they took the tupperware off, adjusted the TPS, checked the plugs, adjusted the fuel lines, etc. It seemed to be a little better but 500 miles later it is just as bad as before. The outside temp has been cold (30-40F), but other than that, the conditions haven't really changed.
I love this bike, but it just does not run right, and I can't seem to find resolution on the low RPM sputtering. It has 11,000 miles on it.
