Excellent decision Denny! See ya there, or perhaps join us for the ride down. Although most of us are leaving Friday morning and that might not work for you.

Uh, Brian, are you really sure you need to leave Tacoma Friday morning in order to get to Vancouver by Saturday night? I thought the GT was supposed to be faster, not slower! Or are you perhaps planning a long ride from Tacoma to Vancouver? Inquiring minds want to know.

Thanks Brian and John - looking forward to meeting y'all. I don't think I'll be joining the ride down Brian as we'll be coming from Washsougal! On second thought it would be a great ride.

This thread is getting a little complex. I was wondering if Brian is getting a blood rush to the brain riding his new GT? We'll be making three weekends of RTE's with this get-together, Ft. Bragg and the Rose City banquet. Busy month

Another thanks to Dan and Debbie for putting that fine evening together and for hosting us at their home after dinner. It was great seeing everyone again. about fifty miles into my journey home It started raining pretty good. It was my first real rain test of the GT and it passed with flying colors. I passed one other biker on the way home and had to feel sorry for the lad. All hunched over trying to make it home in the rain with his non beemer and white sneakers. Life is pretty good in "our" world.

Talking Great Turnout!

The first RDC had a great turnout (18 folks at dinner, if I counted correctly). A special thanks to Brian for a very enjoyable slide show. There were some amazing pictures of scenery, but the most amazing ones for me were the shots of the crumpled Jetta and the slightly bruised LT. As scary as this was, it sure would have been a lot worse on a lesser bike (and rider).

We need a volunteer to select a restaurant for next month. Another option would be to skip the winter months and start up again in, say March... Please let us know what you think.

Thanks to everyone that attended or wanted to. We really enjoyed the evening!

Cool

Thanks all for making Michele and I feel quite at home with a fine bunch of folks, even though we could hardly keep up with the LT's/GT's in our Subaru! I'm working on my mirror in between posts. Kudos to Dan & Debbie for hosting the after dinner movie hour and to Brian for the trip stories. We are looking forward to future meetings and rides.

Hey Dan -

This will tell you for sure that I'm a newbie to this group - what exactly is RDC?

Denny,

RDC is for Ride & Dine Club. The thought here was to have a regularly scheduled get-together to go along with our occasional RTE (Ride To Eat). Unless you saw the original thread (see link), you wouldn't know what we were talking about.

Darrel,

Unfortunately, the dummy responsible brought his camera only to find out that the memory card was still at home in the reader. What an idiot!

He will do better next time.
