Ride To Quincy

Iím going to be buzzing down to the AUTUMN BEEMER BASH in Quincy, CA next week and throwing in with our good NorCal friends. I donít have any set plans yet, but will probably set out early Friday or possibly Thursday afternoon. If anyone else is interested in slabbing it south, and tipping a few around the camp fire with the H.D.D.C. Posse, give me a holler.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Dan;
In case you leave Friday we might be in the same area on Friday afternoon. Subject to change - I plan to ride to Quincy via the northing route (Hwy 1 & Redding, CA) and then drop down into Quincy. I have attached my current MapSource route. (I often detour from my route as I try new roads).

If my current schedule holds, I plan to leave mid Friday morning.

Mark,

What time do you think you will hit Redding?

Dan, Its about 325-450 miles depending on which route I 'really' take to get to Redding. I am guessing mid to late afternoon (2:00p - 5:00p). Its only about 140 miles to Quincy from Redding. I planned to get there early evening on Friday.

What are you thinking??

Hey Dan, we'd love to join you, but I'm afraid we'll be a few too many miles west by then. Hawaii to be exact! There will be other rides. Hope you have an enjoyable trip. And watch that HDDC crowd. They're a rowdy bunch! Do say Hi for us though, from a Northern Posse member.

Dan,

It sounds like a great time. We are tied up for a couple weeks in a row. Have a safe ride and enjoy the HDDC company. BTW, don't let'em put the "Meese" tag on you

Mark,

Redding is about 435 mile down the 5 for me so I was thinking I might be ready for a break somewhere around there. Now that I think of it, it's probably too much of a hassle for you to try and meet up.

Anyway, do you have a FRS/GMRS frequency you keep open just in case I think I see you on the road? (Of course I wouldn't want you to be giving up any Posse secrets now )

John/Ernie,

Thanks guys!

Hope you and Marilyn have a wonderful time in Hawaii, John. Have a great anniversary.

Don't worry Ernie, I'm not worthy to wear the Meese tag. I might, however, wear one of my "I want to be like Meese T-shirts".

Anyway, we all need to get some more rides in before the rain starts. Just let us know...

Dan;
Sounds like a plan with the Radio. I have the Kenwood FRS/GMRS radio and do not have any specific freq to use. Drop me an email or post what ever channel (freq) you want to use and I will have my radio on.

Drop me an email, and I will send you my phone number and we can try and hook up in Redding. I have my phone on my bike when I ride.
