Any GS riders out there?

I mainly use my GS for occasional commutes to work, but I keep seeing the Nor-Cal posts about their off payment adventures and I am starting to get the itch to give it a try.

Any NW folks out there that do a little exploring in addition to luxury touring?

There are a couple of events coming up soon:

and for those not traveling to CCR:

Anyone going to either of these?

PNWGS Rally Update

This just in from the WSBMWR Bulletin Board!

The original location of this event was to be Conconully State Park in Eastern, WA. Last week the organizers were notified that the Conconully State Park has been taken over by forest fire-fighting teams for the next 75 days, leaving the rally with no location. The people at the Pacific County Fairgrounds have come to the rescue, however, and are allowing it to be moved to the grounds just vacated by the Washington State BMW Riders CCR06 Rally. The PNWGS Rally will be in Menlo, two weekends from now.

With this change they have also re-opened registration, effective immediately, until the end of day SUN 06 AUG.

The GS 101 class at the WSBMWR rally was a HUGE success as well as the ride afterwards from all accounts. I was there when the word came in of the fire near Conconully and 5 minutes later the organizers had asked and been given the OK to move it to Menlo. Lots of great logging roads around Menlo for you GS-ers to ride.
