Re: Michelin tires

Lots of info in the Tire section. I used to know about KLT a couple of years ago when I did reseach to find all tires that could be safely used on the LT.
WRT to the Michelins you have two things to check. ARE they weight rated for the LT? Last time I checked on Avon, Bridgestone, and Metzler were the only manufacturers making matched sets of tires that were weight rated for the LT.
AND there is very limited clearance between the tire and there rear swing arm. You are very likely to have a tire rubbing on the swing arm if you go to an oversized tire.

Post your query in the tire section and read threads there, I bet you'll get more definitive answers than mine.

Cheers!

Re: Michelin tires

I have run 3 Michelin Pilot road 2's on the front of my 2003 LTE with no problems at all...Great handling when matched with the Avon Storm rear tire. I got 9200 miles out of the last set and the PR2 would probably gone another 2 or 3 thousand miles ( I prefer to change them in sets).

As for the rear Michelin it is not weight rated for the LT.
