How You Doin ? N/E Beemers

I know that I'm not the only one temped to take a ride here in the N/E with temps in the mid 50's, teasing me! Passing HD's in my cage during my daily commute almost maken a grown man cry. The S/O say's " wait until they sweep the salt/sand off the road", blah, blah, blah...I will not wait any further than the 1st week of April to ride my Jenny.! I'm anticipating the last snow storm B4 or on Easter Day here in the N/E. Man, I hope not...

Heck, maybe we can have a coming out of Hibernation breakfast, lunch or dinner meet.
Yeap, I have riding fever and its BAD!

Re: How You Doin ? N/E Beemers

Get out there! I got the bike out on March 2nd and have already put over 600 miles on her.
Last weekend was beautiful - My wife and I went for a nice 200 mile ride yesterday from Amesbury MA, up the coast to Wells Maine then took 9 to 16 to 11 up to Laconia. We took 107 From Laconia back home. Very little sand / salt on the roads. 107 was a bit bumpy from Laconia down to Rt. 4.

With all the rain we had this past weekend, I'm sure all of the salt and sand are off the roads and draining quite nicely into the aquifers.

Unfortunately, my LT is in the shop getting the valves checked, some Xmas toys installed and 02 sensor replaced.

Getting ready to head down to the Spring Training Camp get together next month. Anyone here heading south?

Hi bob. Not going to make the STC this year have a wedding to go to that weekend but I will be making the Georgia Mountain Rally the weekend of the Apr 30th. Have not seen to much sand this year as I think CT has shifted to using a liquid treatment instead of salted sand. You see this with the white lines running down the highways.

Re: How You Doin ? N/E Beemers

Yesterday was beautiful! Sunny and no clouds. We maxed out in the mid 60's for most of the ride around the lake. We did around 225 miles on the day.The frost heaves are starting to flatten out nicely, not too many big bumps.

I think it was a pre-treatment to prevent icing. They used it by me too!

Glad to see you're riding again especially after your little get off a few years back!

Alright now! Its seems that the North East is alive and doing well.. Glad too see all the posting and riding on the East side of town...

I installed some floor boards while "Jenny" was in hibernation. What a difference my legs are rested and they improved my lean, if you know what I mean...

C U on the road..

Re: How You Doin ? N/E Beemers

I rode to work Tuesday and took a 120+ mile round trip ride to Rutland today. The roads up here in VT are in excellent shape - negligible sand and salt, and fewer frost heaves than you usually see this time of year. Temps in 60s right through the weekend. Get out and enjoy it because there will be more snow in April.

I put the snowblower away already, even pulled out the mower and charged the battery today.

Took the misses for a nice ride to ODD LOTS to buy some exercise dvd and a ladder stabilizer last night. Strapped the damn thing to rear rack and rode home. we stopped at 5 guys for burgers and fries. yep not on the diet and was not all that good. We put about 50 miles on yesterday. I will be riding tomorrow too.

Got to get my endurance back up for the big trip out west this summer.

Stay safe out there, they aint lookin for us yet.

I went to the Bar Harbor this weekend and put 500 miles on my bike. Had a great time and I can tell you that it was a stress reliever for me.
