The 2010 BBD Ride

Hello All,
Planning for the 2010 BBD ride is open. Curtis will leave it to another to plan this years event. I am stepping in to open the trip for discussion.

For the group:
Planners and Organizers: Does anyone want to volunteer themselves as a coordinator. I am willing to fill this role, but I did not want to presume. If there are no takers then I will press on.

Dates: What weekend works? Keeping in mind other events, we could look at a weekend around the same time as last year.

Trek: Options include a course that incorporates ME, NH, VT, NY. Input is welcomed.

Venue: B & B, or major brand hotel?

Lets look at these beginning topics and submit your input please.

David.

Re: The 2010 BBD Ride

David, Go for it!!!

As far as the ride location, I'm fine with a ride through the sates you mention above, but for discussion purposes, I also like Gerard's suggestion on the other thread.

I'm OK with riding Memorial Day weekend, too. That gives us one more day to ride that weekend.

All in all, to me it really doesn't matter. It's been a long winter, I'm itching to ride!!!

I'm not sure we're going to be able to make it this year, so I'll wait and see how this shakes out. Hopefully this weather will lighten up a little soon though - haven't even started the beast in over 2 months...
I can say from experience though - Gerard likes to plan..

Hey now! OK, ... I do like to plan!

I can make it Memorial day weekend, but the traffic may suck. The weekend after that is out for me as I have a work trip to China. I put forth some suggestions in the original thread, and am willing to help any way I can.

Re: The 2010 BBD Ride

Hate to say it but I do not think I will be joining all you fine folks this year. I have already had to rearrange a bunch of BRC classes due to the BIG trip out west and none of these weekends work for me at this time. I will keep an eye on this thread and see where it leads.

I know, I know it just won't be the same without me.

BTW, do not let Gerard leave you guys in the dust like last time.

If something changes I will let you know. Have fun and ride safe, spring is almost here. I have new shoes for the bike and new shoes for me!! Woohoo.

Re: The 2010 BBD Ride

As it stands, majority votes put this years ride on the weekend of June 5-6. I will work on the plans upon my return next Friday.
