Cape Cod

I"m looking for any advice or suggestions regarding Cape Cod. My GF and I are travelling to Cape Cod and plan to rent a cottage near East Sandwich. We are travelling in late June, the rentals are half the price compared to July/August.

Operating out of East Sandwich you can do many day trips to see the following:

Woods Hole, Ferry ride to the Vineyard (with or without the bike), Falmouth Heights, Hyannis Port, Chathham, and Chatham Light House, Nauset Beach, Cape Cod Light in North Truro, Provincetown Harbour and the town (walk it), Race point light and the sand dunes.
Don't just use RT 28 and 6. Use your GPS and just get lost on many of the local side streets. Nantucket is expensive and a long ferry ride to see more of the same only of a higher $$$$$ value. Remember there are only two bridges across the Cap Cod Canal, so if you can stay away from them on Friday nights, Saturday mornings arriving and Sunday evenings leaving.

Re: Cape Cod

Regarding the Ferry to Martha's Vineyard, with a scoot you do not need a reservation. Just show up and they will get you on the boat. Pretty inexpensive trip and a beautiful area to explore. Rode through Cautaumut, Yarmouth, Barnstable etc. today and had a great ride. Of course my GW friend had a 31' sail boat in Cataumut harbor which we took out for a sail. Wow what a weekend - also attended my high school "60th Birthday" reunion Sat. night in Yarmouth. OMG there were a lot of old people there and to think I graduated high school with them in 67 blew my mind.
